Lack of Afro? Here is a little more details extracted from the social media network Facebook:

…Lack Of Afro (Adam Gibbons) has achieved a startling amount in the few years since his first releases on Freestyle records. With four highly acclaimed albums under his belt, touring live and DJing across the world, and producing and remixing everyone from Tom Jones, The Pharcyde, The New Mastersounds through to Kraak & Smaak – Lack of Afro is soon to release his fifth album “Music for Adverts”.

Wide ranging, eclectic and progressive musical outlook has always been the Lack of Afro approach. His new album follows suit as he harnesses disparate musical styles ranging from funk, soul and hiphop to create a contemporary yet retro musical escapade of dancefloor friendly funk. It features collaborations from hugely popular US rappers Wax and Herbal T, as well as up and coming UK vocalist and son of Craig Charles, Jack Tyson-Charles…

Working differently and with a great sense of innovation and creativity, Lack of Afro has just launched a new album “Music for Adverts” on Freestyle Records.

A live band tour is coming up very soon.

What is also interesting is this open collaboration:

Lack of Afro live band is touring in April & May & as part of our set we are playing the track “Brown Sugar” from the new album. For each show we’d like a local MC to come on stage and do the track with us. Check out the tour dates here & e-mail adam[at]lackofafro.com – Lets have it! http://www.lackofafro.com/tour/

A great opportunity to be part of something special for local MCs during that tour.

It doesn’t get better than this…

The man got the rhythm under his skin and anyone can be part of it…as long as the talent is there too.

Here is another taster of his work.
