Hauser & Wirth – Art Galleries

Contemporary art galleries have had a lot of new spaces in the past 10 years.

Art and mainly contemporary spaces attract visitors.

Not saying that Royal Academy of Arts is declining: the Degas and Hockney exhibitions have been a real success.

But there are new vast galleries dedicated to abstract, shapes and anything modern.

Turner Contemporary Margate, White Cube Bermondsey, the extension of the Tate Modern and the Savile Row Hauser & Wirth new  gallery divided in two areas.

The latter has spaces is New York, London and Zurich.

But H&W London has 2 spaces: Piccadilly and Savile Row (by Selldorf Architects).

The Savile Row North and South Galleries are just awesome.

From the outside it looks rather dark because of the smoked glass windows, but the inside is a breath of fresh air.

Don’t be intimidated by it. To enter you need to press a button for the door to magically open and let you in.
